Express Entry
Express Entry is the fastest online pathway to get permanent residence for skilled workers as individuals or families in Canada. Launched in 2015, this has become one of the most popular immigration systems in the world and a major source of economic development for Canada.
The applications for Express Entry falls under three federal economic immigration programs:
1. The Federal Skilled Worker Program
2. The Federal Skilled Trades Program
3. The Canadian Experience Class
How Express Entry Works:
Step 1:
Check if you’re eligible.

Step 2:
Submit your application online:
- The age of the candidate
- Education and qualification
- Language proficiency (English or French)
- Work experience and skills
- If a candidate has a job offer from an organization based in Canada
- Spouse education, language proficiency and work experience.
- Additional points can be obtained if the applicant has any Canadian college or university experience or has the provincial nomination.

Step 3:
Here are the major requirements for an Express Entry Candidate:
An Express Entry profile is where you submit your application. The information you submit will determine your score. You’ll be selected into the pool of candidates on a point-based system.
Step 4:
Receive an “Invitation to Apply” (ITA) for Permanent Residency:
A candidate with the highest score in the pool receives an ITA. After you get the ITA, you have 60 days to submit your application for permanent residency. The complete application takes approximately 6 months to process.
